Background
FishWise will build and operate a fully integrated, best-in-breed, environmentally friendly and bio-secure Recirculating Aquaculture System (“RAS”) fish farm with end to end production and processing facilities.
The aquaculture production complex will be fully integrated with hatchery / nursery, feed mill, fish processing and packaging thus ensuring the biosecurity of the full process.
FishWise’s RAS plant is being established in Mauritius as the country has developed the legal framework for operations of this nature.

FishWise undertakes to strictly observe all rules, regulations, and covenants that the relevant regulatory bodies require
This includes observing the licensing conditions and relevant legislation determined by the Ministry of Fisheries, EIA and Ministry of the Environment
This will help ensuring optimal and environmentally friendly utilisation of the marine resources of the island.
In association with government, FishWise will undertake initiatives to assist in the protection and preservation of the sea as well as land.
FishWise will develop programs and activities that support and grow the socio-economic development of the people.
FishWise will work with the government to develop a framework for a sustainable fishing and aquaculture industry resulting in Mauritius becoming a regional leader in this regard
